The Governments new White Paper on development policy ("Næringsutvikling innenfor utviklingssamarbeidet") represents an important breakthrough, and renewable energy is singled out as a priority sector. Financing agencies such as GIEK (The Norwegian Credit Guarantee Agency), EK (Eksportfinans) and Norfund, Norad and embassies will focus on triggering private investments in the renewable energy sector abroad.
