The Oryx project is situated 200 km south of Amman in the municipality of Maan in Jordan and is Scatec Solar’s first power plant in the Middle East.

Project development

Scatec Solar developed the project and financing was secured in the fourth quarter of 2014.

Project Execution

The construction of the 10 MW power plant commenced in the first quarter of 2015. Scatec Solar has the leading role for all EPC activities and is also responsible for managing the construction phase.

Operation and maintenance

Scatec Solar will be operator of the plant through an O&M service contract.
