More about this market
South Africa has experienced electricity shortage for years. With coal as the primary electricity source, the international community has put pressure to reduce the CO2 emissions. Thus, the country has committed the majority of new power capacity to come from renewable energy and nuclear sources. The renewable energy program launched in 2011 opens for a strong pipeline of projects to increase the capacity. The construction of solar plants is made by using local laborers and professionals.
